Trash
The original version of Trash was first released as part of the EP "Trilogy: Flesh Trash Heat" on April 5 2024. The EP was inspired by the underground film trilogy FLESH/TRASH/HEAT, produced by Andy Warhol in his famous Factory between 1968 and 1972. All three films were directed by Paul Morrissey and had Joe Dallesandro in the leading role.
About the film Trash
Trash is the second film of Andy Warhol's trilogy and was released in 1970. Compared to the first film Flesh from 1968, it was more professional in terms of editing and sound. It's the story of heroin addict Joe Smith, who has a problematic relationshop with his on-off, sexually frustrated girlfriend Holly Sandiago. Trash was filmed on location in New York City and in the basement of director PaulMorrissey. Holly Woodlawn und Jane Forth both made their screen debut in this film. Dialogues were often improvised. Rumours say that the the actress Sissy Spacek, who was still unknown at the time, made a small appearance, but the footage was later edited out.
